All interested persons are encouraged to stop by the library and check out the book World War II: Prairie Invasion by Gloria Clark. The book is Ms. Clark's master thesis which is centered around the Alliance Army Air Base. A number of copies are available for checkout at the circulation desk.
In August, in conjunction with the city-wide celebration of the cemetery opening, we will be hosting a program in which the author will give a presentation on the history of the air base. So in preparation for the program, make sure you come in and check out a copy of the book, available now!
